HI- I’m Christa, I am a proud feminist that loves empowering women to feel their best in their own bodies. I work with women at all stages of life like pre-post natal, mastectomy recovery, chronic pain, prolapse, and diastasis.
I have worked in the fitness industry for 10 years. It’s an industry that I have a love-hate relationship with. This industry was for so long pushing toxic narratives that put ridiculous expectations on women and lead many to develop an overwhelming feeling of inadequacy. I struggled with my place in it because I often took a different approach. One that focused on function and education over aesthetics and trends.
The good news is the industry has started to shift and we are starting to put more emphasis on quality instead of quantity. We are starting to recognize that skinny does not mean healthy and intensity does not equal a good workout.
I believe in taking a “movement positive” approach. This means helping clients understand that movement in any form is a good thing and it doesn’t have to be perfect to be affective. Our bodies are unbelievably adaptable and strong, and movement should not be feared. My goal is to empower you to feel confident to move EVERYDAY!
If you take a private with me we will talk through your goals and past experiences so that we can hopefully change your perception of what movement can do for your body. In our sessions I will reflect on the body that is in front of me and structure our time together to accomplish your particular goals. I will challenge you just as much mentally as physically. I will ask you to reflect on what is happening in and outside your body to allow you to better connect and understand your body. These concepts will apply to any intense athlete or someone who enjoys a relaxed walk.
My goal is to help you build a movement routine and mindset that will carry you through all the stages of your life. It’s never too late to improve your health and wellbeing.
