Do You Only Work With Women?
No! Although I specialize in women’s health issues I work with any gender. Remember that men have pelvic floors too :)
Do I have to have “Issues” in order to work with you?
No! Much of what I work on is proactive for preventing injuries and chronic issues. Offense is the best defense right?
What kind of equipment do you work with?
I like to work with a bit of everything! My studio has reformers, tower, and tons of small equipment.
Are you contemporary or classically trained?
I think this is a silly question. Both have merit. I am contemporary trained with Stott but love to learn and have done a number of types of trainings. Anything that helps me better serve the body in front of me. I think that Joe Pilates was a brilliant man but to think that we haven’t learned more about the body in 60 years might be a bit of a stretch…
Do you offer discounts?
I offer discount pricing for packages.
I also offer rewards for referrals! If you refer someone who purchases a package you get a FREE session as a thank you!
What is Pilates?
Pilates, pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates, is a mind-body exercise system designed to optimize physical fitness in people at every level of physical ability. Pilates (1880–1967) was a German expatriate who first made his mark in England during WWI by developing a series of exercises and innovative equipment to help prisoners of war regain strength and mobility. When Joseph Pilates immigrated to New York, the local professional dance community discovered that his conditioning technique, called ‘Contrology’ helped prevent injury and improve strength while maintaining long, even muscle tone.
